About the Event

Play is often viewed as a luxury, a frivolous pastime that holds importance only for children. Yet, when we take a closer look at its role in human development, it becomes clear that play is not only essential for children, but for individuals across ALL stages of life. Play is one of the body’s most natural pathways to creativity, connection, emotional resilience, and healing. From a somatic perspective, play invites the nervous system into states of curiosity, spontaneity, and coherence—allowing us to move beyond patterns of tension, rigidity, and judgment. Physiologically, play is one of the primary antidotes to stress. And, play is one of the most accessible pathways back to aliveness because it is not dependent on circumstances—it is simply a quality of how we relate to the present moment.

In this experiential workshop, we will explore how playful movement, curiosity, imagination, and embodied awareness can help the body release stress and reconnect with our vitality. Through simple somatic practices, participants will rediscover the intelligence of the body when it is allowed to move, express, experiment, and explore without pressure or performance.

Together we will playfully explore:

  • The Science of Play

  • The essentiality of imagination in Somatic Healing & Transformation

  • How play impacts your intrapersonal, social, & professional relationships

  • The Modern Play Deficit

  • Identify Types of Play that Resonate with you

  • Strategies to overcome the barriers to play

  • Techniques to use play as a tool for emotional healing & resilience

Join me for supportive space that awakens joy, creativity, connection, and presence —remembering that play is not frivolous, but a powerful doorway back to aliveness, resilience, and authentic expression.
